Syhl Dethi
Syhl Dethi is one of the youngest, yet most famous gods. He is most often known as the god of philosophy, and founded the first nation to operate under the principles of democracy. Syhl Dethi was, in the age of legends perhaps the most down to earth and even social of the gods. He was of relatively little power, but ruled over the blessed lake of Mitheral, rumoured to be able to heal any wound or ailment. Every year he would hold a grand festival at his silver palace Jethi, where he would allow anyone who wished to challenge him to battles of wit, intelligence and philosophy. Each of these could last several days, and often went on so long that by the time he had finished, the festival was there again. Despite centuries of doing this, Dethi only ever lost to two challengers; one a man with no known name who would proceed to spend the rest of his life in Dethis service as an advisor, the other, Lady Illidia, who would later become his wife. In his later years, just before the age of chaos,Dethi would grow dissatisfied with his position in life, and give his own godly powers to his mortal wife and flee to seek solitude. Later, during the Rendering, he would return to fight alongside mortalkind, and later with mortals and gods united again against the Dark One. In these wars, Mitheral was shattered, it's waters later solidifying to form the fabled Runite and modern Mithril. Syhl Dethi was the only god who never created or employed Champions, and almost never went to war. In his centuries on Pelindra, he compiled a massive work of philosophical musings and ideas, known as the Six Principles Of Self.

Domains
Syhl Dethi is widely considered the god of self worth, philosophy, and wisdom. He is also attributed Healing.

Appearance
Syhl Dethi’s appearance is of course very well recorded and iconic, but also quite simple. Like most minor gods, he hid his face behind a mask, his of silver, with a thin crest running down his back. He typically manifested himself as a very average seeming human, but often shifted his appearance to suit his mood. In his rare few wars, he wielded his famous bow Kieldal, and also a curved sword of unknown name which is long lost.
